Servants are here to take those boring tasks off your hands! They’re basically NPCs that you convert into your loyal thralls, ready to do your bidding…and bring back loot.
Build Your Vampire Recruitment Center aka Servant Coffin
You can’t dominate a human without a place to put them! Head to your castle and build a Servant Coffin. These let you turn those tasty humans into your obedient servants.
Choose Your Servant
Not all Servants are the same! They have different stats and perks depending on where you find them and what their background is. So, think about what you need:
- Blood Type Perk: Lowers the difficulty of hunts in specific areas – more success, better loot!
- Faction Perk: Increases the amount of resources they bring back from certain regions.
- Blood Quality: Higher quality means better starting stats, making your Servant stronger from the get-go.
Dominating Presence
Head out into the world and sink your fangs into an unsuspecting human. But don’t kill them! Get their health low, open your vampire power wheel (Ctrl), and use Dominating Presence. Now they’re under your spell.
Drag your charmed human back to your castle and drop them into the Servant Coffin. Click “Convert” and grab a beverage while they settle into their new digs.
Your freshly made Servant is ready to serve. First, give them some gear to up their power level. Then, head over to your Castle Throne and get ready to play logistics manager!
Time to Send Your Servant to Work
From your Castle Throne, you’ll see a map of the world. Each region has different resources. Choose an area with goodies you like.
Click on the area to see the difficulty level. Compare that number with your Servant’s power level. Look at the bonus icons on the map. Does your Servant have matching perks? This gives you better odds and more loot!
Once you’ve picked the right Servant for the job, adjust the hunt length for max success, and hit “Let the Hunt Begin”! They’ll return with all the goods, and you didn’t even lift a finger (well, besides all that charming and equipping).
Final Thoughts
Servants are game-changers. The more you have, the faster your castle upgrades and the quicker you gear up. That “Army of Darkness” quest pops up pretty early – the sooner you start converting, the better. Always keep an eye out for humans with high-quality blood while you’re out and about. More Castle Heart levels = more Servant Coffins = more vampire minions!
