[Theories] JJK 260 Release Date and What To Expect

The last chapter left us on a major cliffhanger. Yuji and Todo are hyping up to take on a weakened Sukuna. However, there was a major character death in JJK 259, choso died to protect his little brother Yuji. There’s the lingering question of who else survived Sukuna’s domain chaos.

Release Date

Based on the usual Shonen Jump schedule, if there’s no break, JJK 260 is likely to officially release around May 19th. However, just like always, it will be leaked 3-4 days prior to the official date by the prominent leakers on Twitter.

Leaking chapters early hurts the mangaka and the industry. It’s better to support the official release, even if it means waiting a bit longer. Spoilers release date is not confirmed they depend entirely on the leakers.

Tag-Team of the Century

Yuji and Todo channeling their epic Mahito-beatdown energy would be incredible. Yuji has grown so much as a Jujutsu sorcerer and being Sukuna relative is an extra buff, and with Sukuna weakened, they might actually land some serious hits. Can they do enough damage before he recovers?

Todo is no longer the same as he lost his cursed technique during his fight with Mahito, he lost his arm and his boogie-woogie stopped working. After so long we saw him again and his cursed technique is back but at what scale?

We don’t know yet, all that was revealed in the chapter 259 was Mei Mei and Todo had a plan to teleport people out of Sukuna’s domain using crows and Todo’s boogie woogie.

Yuji made the pact with Yuta, so where’s our boy? He hasn’t recovered yet? At this point, if Yuta showed up, it’s game over for Sukuna for sure but sadly Gege is going to keep hyping up Sukuna more and buffing up Yuji even more and this is going to prolong the whole fight even more.

Sukuna’s Got a New Trick (Speculation)

What if there’s a catch to Sukuna being weakened? Maybe he’s got a hidden ace up his sleeve, and this is all part of his plan. I don’t trust that smile on his face… Even when Sukuna and Yuji were fighting Sukuna as a duo, Sukuna managed to beat them even in his weakened state.

For now all Yuji has is a black flash attack which is pretty terrifying but at this point, it is still not enough to beat Sukuna. Todo doesn’t even know if his abilities will work like before so in his fight against Sukuna he could end up being a burden too.

Todo is the best Motivator

However, Todo has always been the best Motivator for Yuji. The only reason Yuji managed to beat Mahito was because of Todo, he showed up and motivated Yuji and stopped Yuji from not giving up.

Just like with Mahito, Yuji was close to giving up because of Nanami’s death, Nobara’s death, and all the people he killed while Sukuna was possessing him.

Todo showed up exactly at the same time Yuji was going to give up again. Maybe this will help Yuji obtain a new power because Yuji really needs another attack ability against Sukuna.

The Unanswered Questions

How do you see Yuji and Todo strategizing against Sukuna? Will we see other major characters join the fight for example Yuta? We desperately need him as he is the only sorcerer who can rival Gojo.

Gege is not scared to kill major characters, he just keeps sending them off to the afterlife, so many sorcerers are dead already and keep on dying. At this point, if Aoi Todo dies to motivate Yuji even more it wouldn’t surprise me.
