Jumping into a new shooter is always a little chaotic, especially when you’re used to the feel of another game. XDefiant is no exception! To feel comfortable aiming and blasting, getting your mouse sensitivity dialed in is key. But honestly, who wants to waste time fiddling with sliders when you could be playing?

Sensitivity Conversion
Instead of blindly guessing, there are two main ways to find your perfect XDefiant sensitivity:
- If you know your VALORANT sensitivity and DPI, you can calculate the matching XDefiant sensitivity. There are formulas online to help (but my brain hurts just thinking about them). I have mentioned a sample one below.
- Sensitivity conversion websites are your friend! They do the math for you. Some popular ones include Mouse-Sensitivity.com and Aiming.Pro, though be warned, not all have XDefiant listed yet.
Why Bother Converting Sensitivity?
It’s about muscle memory! Having your sensitivity feel similar to what you’re used to helps you jump into XDefiant and start aiming instinctively, rather than fumbling around and blaming your bad shots on the settings.
Sensitivity Recommendations
While everyone’s ideal sensitivity is different, most pro players tend to use a lower sensitivity for shooters like XDefiant. This offers more control for those precise headshots. Here’s a general idea:
- VALORANT Sensitivity: Around 0.4 is a common sweet spot.
- Equivalent XDefiant Sensitivity: This translates to roughly 19 in XDefiant’s settings (assuming you use 800 DPI like me).
This is a starting point! Even a perfectly converted sensitivity might need tweaking based on how XDefiant’s gunplay and maps feel in action.

Final Words
Don’t be afraid to play around with your sensitivity after that initial conversion. A few matches might be all it takes to find that perfect balance between speed and precision. And who knows, maybe XDefiant will become your new main squeeze, and you’ll need to convert your settings to other games in the future!
