JJK Chapter 259 gave us a crazy combo of action and heartbreak. Yuji’s fighting for his life against Sukuna, Choso’s sacrifice his life to protect his little brother Yuji, and then Todo arrives to back Yuji up! A line from Todo seems to be confusing fans a lot.

The translation could be a little off since Mya the prominent leaker on Twitter translated this page. The question on everyone’s mind: is he talking about Nobara?
Nobara put up an incredible fight against Mahito during the Shibuya Incident. She even damaged his soul, forcing him to retreat! Sadly, Mahito got a dirty shot in, using his cursed technique “Idle Transfiguration.” Nobara was left horribly injured, her last words to Yuji being “Tell everyone it wasn’t so bad.”
After the Shibuya arc, Yuji asks Megumi about Nobara, and he doesn’t answer directly. That leaves things open to interpretation. Gege Akutami, JJK’s creator, likes to drop bombshells. Nobara’s death seemed abrupt – could it have been a fake-out?
The Case for Nobara’s Return
If Nobara’s alive, she’s likely been in recovery, possibly with some serious injuries. Nobara overcoming such a setback would make her an even more compelling character. If she has to adapt to new limitations, it might lead to new cursed technique developments.
Honestly, Akutami could go either way. Nobara’s death was impactful, her death nearly made Yuji give up on fighting Mahito. Yet, bringing her back opens up a whole new set of possibilities for the story.
Aoi Todo confirmed in Shibuya Arc that he lost his ability to do Boogie Woogie and it was his special cursed technique. He didn’t appear for quite a long time and eventually after Choso’s death he appears and confirms there is a plan to back Yuji. Mei Mei and Todo planned to use Boogie Woogie to teleport people out of Sukuna’s Domain Expansion which was an instant death ability.
So how is he able to use his cursed technique as Mahito touched Aoi Todo and his arm was cut off? This made fans think the impossible, if Aoi Todo can use the cursed technique maybe there is a chance Nobara can make a comeback as her death was never confirmed in the manga.
Final Words
There have been many instances that made fans believe Nobara is going to return. However, Gege knows how to break hearts. But the recent chapter has sparked a new page for speculation. Maybe she survived the attack and managed to make a recovery. In the end, it is just speculation. Nobody knows for sure.
Nobara’s cursed technique will surely come in handy against Sukuna. Maybe her cursed technique is the key to getting Megumi back.
I have a theory in my mind, Aoi Todo is going to die and Nobara will come to help Yuji. Gege keeps sending new players to help Yuji. First, it was Choso helping Yuji and now Aoi Todo arrived. Before them, it was Yuta who was badly hurt. However, Yuta will also make quick recovery too.
I miss Nobara’s sass and her badass fighting style. I’d be thrilled to see her return, but even if she’s gone, her impact on the JJK world remains undeniable.
