Zenless Zone Zero is the latest Gatcha game that was released a while ago. The game is developed by HoYoverse, the developer of Genshin Impact. It is available for free on PC, Android, iOS, and PlayStation 5.
However, just like any other game Zenless Zone Zero also has launch day issues. The game is crashing for some players on PC. So, in order to play the game without crashes follow my guide.
Zenless Zone Zero Unity Crashing Fix
First, make sure, you have an i5 7th Gen equivalent or higher processor and a Nvidia GTX 970 equivalent GPU.
The requirements are not that demanding but if you have a weak rig, you need to upgrade it to play the game.
If your rig meets the minimum requirements and you are still facing crashes, follow the steps below:
- Open the game directory through HoYoPlay.
- Right-click on the .exe file and copy its path.
- Create a new shortcut on your desktop.
- Paste the path and add “-force-d3d12” at the end.
- Launch the game using the shortcut.
This will force the game to run on DirectX 12, which might solve the crashing issue on some Intel GPUs.
Make sure your Intel GPU drivers are updated, and if you have a dedicated GPU (like Nvidia), use that instead.
I found this fix on Reddit and it worked for a lot of players. I didn’t face any crashes since I am running the game on Ryzen 5 5600x paired with RTX 3060 so I can’t confirm if this fix will work!
