XDefiant Keeps Searching For Players - Can't Find Match

Find Us on Socials

XDefiant was released recently. In the previous beta and server tests there were always server issues but this has never happened before. This bug is quite new. I preloaded the game yesterday so that I can play the game on launch, sadly I can’t. There were no crashing or launching issues. However, whenever I try to go into matchmaking (ranked or unranked). The game keeps searching for players (11 to be exact). It seems the servers are not up yet.

What’s Going On?

Since XDefiant is a brand-new game, it’s dealing with the growing pains of a big launch. Tons of players want to play at once, which puts a lot of strain on the game’s servers. Basically, it’s a digital traffic jam!

Some folks were able to play earlier, but now they’re getting stuck too. That means it’s not our internet connections, it’s Ubisoft’s backend struggling to keep up.

Now, there’s not much we can do directly to fix this. We just have to wait for Ubisoft to get things running smoothly. But in the meantime, you could try:

So, What Can We Do?

Sometimes, you just have to hit that queue button and hope for the best. You might eventually get lucky and slip into a game during a less busy time.

XDefiant’s Twitter or Reddit page might have updates about the server issues. It can be kind of comforting to see other players in the same boat, too. Misery loves company, right?

Just in case, make sure your own internet connection is working properly. Restarting your router or your computer never hurts.

Final Words

This whole situation sucks, but remember, it’s usually a temporary thing with new games. Once the hype dies down a little, the servers should settle, and we’ll all be able to play without a hitch.
