God of War is a well-known game series, the game was first released back in 2005 for PlayStation 2, and it became a flagship game for Sony. The most recent God of War Ragnarok was released in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.

After Ragnarok’s success, Sony decided to port the game to PC users. It is scheduled to be released on 19th September 2024 on Steam for PC gamers.

However, there is a catch, just like Ghost of Tsushima and Helldivers 2, if you are not living in a PSN (Playstation Network) supported country, you won’t be able to play God of War Ragnarok PC.

Why is God of War Ragnarok PC not available in my region?

This is because Sony has required people to have a PSN account to play God of War Ragnarok. I live in Pakistan and my country is not on the supported list of PSN.

So, I don’t see the official God of War Ragnarok store page on Steam. Whenever I try to open the page, I get an error message “Not Available in Your Region”.

PlayStation Network is not available in every country where Steam is. And it is totally unfair for the people living in countries where PSN is not yet available.

It is not good for Sony either, they are missing out on all those potential sales, but I guess they don’t care since they have made a lot of money already back in 2022 when the game was officially launched.

Are there any workarounds?

The only workaround is to buy a different region Steam account or create one using a VPN.

  • Logout of Steam.
  • Install a VPN and choose the location Turkey or Argentina.
  • Create an account on Steam.
  • After creating the new Steam account, you will be able to open the store page of GOWR.
