How To Get Verdigris Greatshield in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Most of the players have already completed the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. I have covered many talismans, and locations that were introduced in the latest DLC. In this article, I am going to discuss how you can get the Verdigris Greatshield.

The Verdigris Greatshield is a new shield in Elden Ring that offers great protection but reduces your mobility. You can get it early by doing Moore questline.

There is also another method to obtain this item, you have to make Moore angry enough to attack you so that you can kill him and get the armor. You can do this method even after completing the DLC.

Verdigris Greatshield Following Moore’s Questline

First, you need to complete the Castle Ensis dungeon. Then follow the steps mentioned below:

Find Moore at the Sign of Grace called Main Gate Cross on the map. Purchase anything from him to unlock more dialogues. After you purchase something, the Talk to Moore option will show up on interaction now.

Travel to the Pillar Path Crossroad and speak to Theolier. Return to Moore and use the “Talk to Moore” option. He will give you Black Syrup. Give the Black Syrup to Theolier and ask him about it.

Theolier will give you Theolier’s Concoction. Break the charm by visiting the Shadow Keep. You’ll hear a charm-breaking sound and the message “Somewhere a great rune has broken” will appear on your screen.

Return to the Ancient Gate Crossroad and speak to Moore. Select the “Remain Sad forever” option when speaking to Moore.

Now you need to defeat Mesmer at the Shadow Keep. Moore will be dead at the Church of the Crusade. Go there to get the armor, you will see a dead body (Moore) and a creature along with the Verdigris Greatshield and some other items.

Alternative Method – Kill Moore

First, you need to defeat Mesmer at the Shadow Keep. After defeating him, kill the bug north of the Church of the Crusade. Travel to the Main Gate Cross and speak to Moore. Use the “Talk to Moore” option. Kill another Brood Forager southwest of the High Road Cross. Moore will invade you. Kill him to get his Verdigris GreatShield.

Final Words

There are two methods to get the Verdigris Items and I have discussed both above. It is up to you which method you choose to do, if you didn’t follow the Moore questline, you can simply kill him to get the armor but you have to follow the steps in the same sequence.
