There is a The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics sidequest in Wuthering Waves that is divided into 3 parts. However, after doing the first part of the quest, you will see a locked sign on the quest. The second part of the quest tells you to wait for a character named Mizhi to figure out the “ultimate mechanics,” but it doesn’t give you a clear timeline.
A 24-Hour Roadblock
You need to wait at least 24 hours in real-world time before the quest unlocks. Yep, you heard that right. It’s not game time, it’s real-time. Sadly, you can’t fast-forward the in-game clock or try any tricks to bypass this. Until then you will see a message that says ” Wait for Mizhi to unravel the ultimate Mechanics.”
Another quest, “Shadows of the Past,” also forces you to wait 24 real-world hours. I’ve tried everything to get around this time lock, but unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way. The devs intentionally designed it this way, so we’re kinda stuck playing the waiting game.
How To Complete The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 2
Once the quest is unlocked, you need to search for Mizhi. You need to do the following to complete it:
- Start Tracking.
- Head to the Mechanics Maintenance area by following the quest marker.
- Talk to Qingshu.
- It will trigger the “Solve the mechanics part.”
- Solve Mechanics 1, all you need to do is check the arrow and attack the box in that direction, don’t forget to toggle the status, you need to make sure the box reaches the destination as shown in the image below.
- You have to solve the second part of mechanics the same way you did previously
- Solve the third mechanics in the same way too.
Once you are done with all three mechanics, you need to go to the abandoned mine. Follow the quest marker to reach there. When you reach there start investigating the mine and search for Mizhi. You will find him near the chests lying on the floor.
Final Words
Remember, this is just one quest, and the overall game is still packed with content to enjoy. Even after completing the second part of The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics sidequest, the third part will still be locked.
Also there seems to be a bug even after 24 hours the second part does not unlock, some players had to wait for 48 hours in real time for the second part to unlock. While you are here check out my other guides as well:
