Lookism creator Park Tae-jun confirmed that Lookism Chapter 529 will wrap up the Shiro Oni Arc, which started back in Chapter 520.
After the events of Hunt for Gun Park Arc, Gun ended up in prison, taking all the blame because of his loyalty to Charles Choi, who died during those events.
This arc is about Gun explaining his past to Daniel, including why people call him “Shiro Oni” and why he stayed so loyal to Charles.
What Happened in Shiro Oni Arc So Far?
Shiro Oni Arc revealed Gun Park’s past, including who his father was. After Gapryong Kim’s Fist Gang crushed the Yamazaki Clan, Shingen Yamazaki, Gun’s father, became a shadow of his former self, losing all motivation.
Gun Park’s Backstory
The syndicate wanted revenge, so they brought women from different families to Shingen, hoping to create the “perfect warrior” with reverse eyes someone strong enough to destroy the Fist Gang.
Park Somi gave birth to Gun Park, as he grew older, he started training and became a really strong fighter at a very young age.
But he was conflicted about everything in his life since he was destined to be the next leader of the Yamazaki Clan.
Despite his strength, Gun didn’t want to be the clan’s leader. He was torn between fighting and seeking love.
Yamazaki Haruto tried to convince that Gun Park had a choice, he was the only friend of Gun Park. Gun decided to act on his advice.
However, as soon as he declines Shintaro’s offer to become the next leader, Shintaro realizes someone has influenced his decision, and he figures out it is Haruto his own.
The vice president believes they need to avenge their past defeat and take down the Fist Gang, no matter the cost.
The Vice President gives his son, Haruto a choice, either he should kill himself or he will do it for him.
Haruto then decides to take his own life and says he will be free but his father will never be free of Yamazaki Clan. The Vice President says to Gun, he must remember Haruto’s death.
Later three big families start a rebellion to remove Shingen Yamazaki from leadership, they underestimated Shingen.
Shingen and Gun Park defeated them all with ease and Shintaro executed them for breaking the rules.
Shintaro vs Shingen Yamazaki
Later, Shintaro finds out he was supposed to be the leader of the clan since he is the eldest son and their mother changed their destinies to save her own self.
Shintaro then finds out their father also knew about this as well and that’s what pushed him to go rogue. In the end, Shintaro ends up killing both of his parents and challenges Shingen for leadership.
Shingen’s Death
Fast forward, Shingen Yamazaki dies protecting Gun Park. Shintaro started hunting him down in Japan and Park Somi married Shintaro.
However, Park Somi betrays Shintaro and helps Gun Park escape from Japan. He ends up in South Korea where Gapryong Kim finds him and takes him in.

Gapryong Kim sends him to prison to train since Yamazaki Clan has connections in South Korea as well but they can’t reach inside the prison.
Charles Choi and Gun Park
In prison, Gun Park meets Charles Choi and starts seeing Shingen Yamazaki in him. They team up and form a group with James Lee, Tom Lee, and Goo Kim.
Together, they kick off a new era, the age of crews. Charles Choi’s company starts to grow and thrive.
He then asks Gun Park to bring back the Red Paper from the Yamazaki Clan since it could expose everything.
The fight between Gun Park and Shintaro Yamazaki will happen in Lookism 529 and the chapter will be released on 21st November at 11:59 p.m. KST.
