I have seen about 20 episodes already but I am not hooked still but the hype is way too much to miss this anime? When will it get better?

Most fans agree that One Piece really starts to get good around the Arlong Park arc, which is around episodes 31-44. This is when the main characters have formed a solid crew and face their first major challenge together.
Here’s a quick tip: If you’re not enjoying the filler episodes (the ones that aren’t part of the main story), feel free to skip them. They won’t affect your understanding of the overall plot.
Hang in there a little longer, and you might find yourself hooked on this amazing adventure!
