I have seen about 20 episodes already but I am not hooked still but the hype is way too much to miss this anime? When will it get better?
For me, it got better after 100 episodes. You need to wait and give it a bit of time. After the marine ford war it will get epic.
Most fans agree that One Piece really starts to get good around the Arlong Park arc, which is around episodes 31-44. This is when the main characters have formed a solid crew and face their first major challenge together.
