If you’ve been trying to jump into a match of Ubisoft’s new shooter, XDefiant, and found yourself stuck in an endless search, you’re not imagining things. This “unable to find match” issue has been irritating players across all platforms – PS5, PC, and Xbox – I myself have been trying to play since last night and still can’t play the game yet.
What’s Causing the Problem?
It’s pretty clear that the issue isn’t on our end. The game launched, everyone jumped in, and the servers just couldn’t handle it.
Some players managed to get a few games in, which makes the situation even more frustrating. They are back in the endless queue. It seems like the servers were struggling from the start, and they just haven’t been able to recover.
I have been following a lot of content creators too and a few of them got into the game by choosing Demolition as the playlist. However, this is not a solution since I would like to try ranked.
Ubisoft, We’re Waiting!
The bad news is, there’s not much we players can do to fix this. It’s up to Ubisoft to get their servers working smoothly. Hopefully, they’re aware of the problem and working hard on a solution. I’ve been trying different modes and same thing with each one, endless searching for players and after a while it shows unable to find a match.
Final Words
Look, I get it. This waiting game sucks. But it’s pretty typical for new online games, especially free-to-play ones like XDefiant. The initial hype can put a ton of strain on servers that weren’t quite prepared for the rush.
The good news is that it’s usually temporary. As the initial rush settles down and Ubisoft hopefully tweaks things on their end, we should see those matchmaking queues get shorter and shorter.
