Once Human is a free-to-play survival crafting game based in a post-apocalyptic world. However, just like every other free multiplayer game, there are issues with Once Human servers too. Some players are unable to join the server in which they created their character and have their progress saved.
Well, this issue is not new, I have faced this issue in the previous beta version that was released before the official release. So, is there any fix for the server-overloaded error in Once Human?
How Can You Fix Server is Overloaded
Mostly, it is just a bug that shows you that a specific server is overloaded even though the server has plenty of space.
Sometimes your friends will be able to join that specific server and you won’t be able to. For that, you just need to ignore the message.
Simply press F to confirm it and then try again and you will be able to join the server automatically.
However, if the servers are actually full due to peak hours and so many players joining the server at the same time, the developers have acknowledged the issue and said:
The server has a maximum number of concurrent users. If a server is currently at FULL status, players may not be able to enter, but after a period of time, its status may change from full to idle, allowing players to join at any time.
We will continue to open enough servers for players worldwide to play. We recommend that players choose idle servers when entering the game or coordinate with friends to enter the game simultaneously for a better gaming experience.
So, you cannot really do anything other than wait for the developers to issue a patch for the bug and add some new servers.
Just like Palworld and many other survival crafting game, you cannot transfer your character from one server to another. Your only option is to wait patiently.
Final Words
Your character is tied to the first server you choose and cannot be moved to another server. However, developers have hinted that server transfer might be added in a future update.
If you want to play on a different server, you’ll need to create a new character. However, your progress on your original server will be saved if you decide to return. So, if the server is overloaded just level up your character in another server for a while, and when the sever is less crowded go back to that to grind!
