LEA Research Lab is considered the hardest dungeon of Once Human. This dungeon is nearly impossible to do solo, but Once Human has given us a challenge, and we don’t run away from a challenge, do we?

Located within the HP Evolution Institute, this dungeon drops valuable weapon mods. However, to complete this dungeon, you need to defeat three bosses.

How To Defeat Lea Research Lab Solo

Preparing for the Dungeon

The MP7 and Doombringer shotgun are popular choices for their effectiveness in this dungeon. Craft ammo, especially tungsten bullets.

Calibrate your armor and repair all of your gear. Bring health items, crafting materials to make more, and food and drink buffs.

It’s better if you bring multiple sets of armor, so you can switch in between the dungeon. Moreover, bring a combat deviant alongside, one who can increase your damage output.

How To Unlock Lea Research Lab

BossMechanicsStrategyNotes
Boss#1: Twin Polarized Deviants– Two polarized deviants (fire and ice) with colored shields.
– Match colored shield to securement tube (orange = fire, blue = ice).
– Stand on the securement tube circle matching the deviant’s shield color.
– Kill both deviants in their respective circles to proceed.
– Focus on defeating the deviant whose tube circle you’re standing in.
Boss#2: Dr. Mannheim– Boss immune at the start.
– Surrounded by 3 fire deviants and 2 ice deviants.
– 4 securement tubes (2 fire, 2 ice).
– Secure all fire deviants in fire tubes and ice deviants in ice tubes.
– Attack boss when vulnerable (90-second window).
– Repeat the process when the boss becomes immune again to finish him off.
– Game saves after this boss.
Boss#3: Mother of Life– 5 health bars.
– Becomes immune after each health bar.
– Disciples spawn, drop Stardust Crystals.
– Use crystals to destroy spores and spawn deviants.
– Use crystals on spores, spawn polarized deviants.
– Secure deviants in matching tubes (like Boss#1).
– Attack boss when vulnerable.
– Boss becomes immune again after losing 2 health bars. Repeat steps to make her vulnerable and defeat her.

Boss#1 Twin Polarized Deviants

Two securement tubes (one orange, one blue) and polarized deviants (with colored shields) will spawn. In this case, Orange is actually fire and blue is actually ice.

To secure a deviant, stand in the circle of the matching colored securement tube and deliver the final blow to the deviant with the matching shield color.

For example, if you are standing on the ice securement tube (blue one), then you need to shoot down the ice polarized deviant, to secure this deviant you need to make sure you are standing on the ice tube circle.

Once you have taken down the ice deviant, go to the fire securement tube circle, and start shooting the fire poralized deviant until he is also secured as well.

Boss#2 Dr Mannheim

The mechanics will remain the same with the boss, however, last time you fought two mini-bosses, and this time you are fighting an actual boss.

The boss is surrounded by 3 fire polarized deviants and 2 ice polarized deviants. This time around there are four securement tubes.

The boss is actually immune at start, so you first need to secure the deviants to make him vulnerable.

Same mechanics, secure the fire deviants into the fire securement tubes, and secure the ice ones into the ice securement tubes.

After doing this, start firing at the boss, you have a maximum of 90 seconds until he becomes immune again.

Once he is immune again, you need to repeat the process and secure the deviants again to make him vulnerable. This time you will be able to kill the boss.

After defeating this boss, the game will be saved, so if you want to leave and recover, you can and when you come back it will start from this exact moment.

Training For Final Boss

You will be fighting flying enemies called disciples. Avoid their lasers and destroy them to collect Stardust Crystals.

Throw the crystals at the spores in the middle to destroy them, there are two. In this training phase, it will just destroy the spores.

However, this mechanic is actually the key to defeat the final boss. Once you destroy both spores, you will be able to progress further and encounter the final boss.

Boss#3 Final Boss Mother of Life

Her health is divided into 5 health bars. Once you deplet her first health bar, she will become immune to damage.

In order to make her vulnerable again, you have to follow the same mechanics I discussed in the training phase, kill the discliples, they will drop stardust crystals.

Collect the startdust crystal and throw it at the spores, however, this time it will spawn the polarized deviant.

Follow the same mechanics as the boss#1, defeat the polarized deviant while standing on the matching securement tube to secure it.

There are four securement tubes, so you need to perform this four times. once you have done this, the Mother of Life boss will become vulnerable once again and you can shoot her,

This time around, you can remove 2 health bars, after that she will become immune again.

Repeat the steps again to spawn the Polarized Deviants. Once you have secured four polarized deviants again, you will now finally be able to defeat her and complete the Lea Research Lab dungeon.

Final Words

The final boss is very difficult to solo because you have to actually spawn the deviants yourself. Before fighting the 3rd boss, repair your gear first then fight her, for this you will need to leave the dungeon and come back again.

I hope with my guide you will be able to defeat all three bosses alone.
