The all-new Sakurajima Update of Palworld is here along with new locations and Pals. The Oil Rig is a challenging new location in Palworld. To reach it, go east from the Plateau of Beginnings or use the Marsh Island fast travel point.
Once you reach close to the Oil Rig, the security system will notice and the turrets will start firing laser at you. If you are using a flying Pal to go there, make sure that you have enough stamina to reach your destination.
Otherwise, just use a swimming pal like Fenglope to travel. If you have played GTA 5, you must have been through the scenarios in which you have to reach the yacht from a nearby island.
I used a flying mount at first, covering half the distance but the stamina ran out so I covered the rest of the distance using Fenglope.
If your character is below level 50, you first need to level up your character and your pals as there will be level 50 enemies everywhere including Syndicate Gunners and Syndicate Crushers.
Complete Oil Rig Stronghold
When you reach the Oil Rig, find a nearby ramp and take the stairs to go up, killing the enemies along the way. First, you need to find the white towers, go near them, and interact to disable the turrets.
Guided Missile Launcher is a new weapon introduced in the Sakurajima Update. With this weapon, you can one-shot the enemies in the Oil Rig.
To clear the Oil Rig easily, bring Legendary Rocket Launcher to kill the Pals and Legendary Pump-action Shotgun to kill the Syndicate Gunners.
The main goal is to find the big yellow military-grade chest that contains the Quad Missile Launcher Schematic. However, the issue is that it spawns randomly. I found it in a gateless room near a turret. Disable the turret first and then open the chest. On Reddit, players are saying there are 4 treasure chests in the Oil Rig area. However, I only found one.
The loot I found is:
- 120 Crude Oil.
- 90 Rocket Ammo.
- 4 Ancient Civilization Core.
- 1 Quad Missile Launcher Schematic.
Once you have collected all the loot and completed the oil rig stronghold, head back to the base so you can safely store the loot.
The oil rig raid is a long and tiring process, but the oil you get from the loot chest is worth it.
