Lookism 516 was just released in Korea, and I have just received the spoilers. This chapter is by far the third-best chapter of the entire Lookism manga series.
The chapter will officially release everywhere else on 23rd August 2024. If you want to skip the spoilers, you can read the chapter tomorrow on Webtoons.
Small Recap of Lookism 516
The chapter starts with Eugene calling James Lee to stop him from killing Charles Choi. Eugene was seen bringing the entire police force to get Charles Choi so that he would face proper trial and proper punishment.
We then saw the fight between UI Daniel and Gun Park UI. Gun keeps getting the upper hand, even though UI Daniel is supposed to be unbeatable.
Even in an injured state after fighting so many second-generation fighters, Gun still overpowered Daniel Park in his UI mode, which is considered in Lookism fandom, unbeatable.
We then see Daniel UI getting the upper hand against Gun Park, and he is slowly becoming stronger.
Gun then reveals that he knows UI Daniel’s weakness, UI Daniel’s power level is based on his opponent’s strength.
Daniel then knocks gun down, and Gun Park then wakes up with no UI mode. However, he still won against Daniel Park UI.
The chapter ends with James Lee helping Gun up and giving him a cigarette after he takes the Red Paper from Gun Park.
What Happened in Lookism 516 Spoilers?
Lookism 516 spoilers begin with a tense standoff between Gun Park and James Lee. Despite being on the verge of defeat, Gun’s fighting spirit remains unbroken.
Gun Park Arrested
James Lee says to Gun Park “You know this is the end, right? You did your best,”.
Even on his deathbed, Gun says “Don’t get too cocky, James Lee!” Who said the fight was over?”
James Lee replies I did not want this to be over either, and then we see about 10+ police cars behind James Lee.
Eugene has arrived at the scene. James Lee whispers to Gun Park, it won’t be wise to fight in front of so many cameras, it won’t be beneficial for Charles Choi.
The police squad then arrests Gun Park and the plot armor protecting Gun Park worn off.
On the other hand, reporters are trying to capture the scene but the police squad is trying to stop them from entering the scene.
James Lee and Daniel Park
James Lee then flees the scene after saying to Gun Park “Let’s save our fight for the next time, I believe the day will come soon”. He then informs Eugene that he took care of his weakness.
Meanwhile, Charles Choi fled the scene and was seen on the rooftop of a huge building. Reporters are now broadcasting the rumors regarding Charles Choi “The controversy started with the suspicion that Chairman Choi exploited minors to raise funds for his business.”
Charles Choi denies the accusations. Gun Park takes the blame for everything, saying that he created the four major crews by himself.
However, more evidence is revealed, including footage of Charles Choi kidnapping someone.
Then the person who was kidnapped came forward and declined that he was kidnapped at all.
James Lee then heads towards Daniel Park, who is currently holding his second body. James then asks about the red paper, but turns out Daniel read it.
The paper is actually a written oath! Charles Choi is loyal to the Yamazaki clan, it was written all over the red paper.
Charles Choi Suicide
While Gun Park faces the consequences of his actions, Charles Choi, the main antagonist, is seen on the rooftop of a building.
Charles Choi then reveals that if the Red Paper is revealed to the world, all of his evil deeds will be exposed.
As news of his alleged crimes spreads, the pressure becomes too much. In a shocking turn of events, Charles Choi jumps off the building, seemingly ending his life.
We still don’t know the secret behind the second body. However, a lot of fans believe that Charles has a second body and we will be finding out about that in the upcoming chapter.
Final Words
Lookism Chapter 516 marks a significant turning point in the series, leaving us eager for more. To be honest, I was hoping for the details about the second body in this chapter, but instead, we got Charles Choi’s death.
