JJK 255 Miguel’s Return
The latest chapter, JJK 255, has the whole Jujutsu Kaisen community buzzing. Not only did Miguel make a thrilling last-minute save against Sukuna, but Gege Akutami’s note at the end has turned everything on its head. Claiming Miguel fought Gojo evenly? That contradicts everything we saw in JJK 0! I personally never thought Miguel would arrive to save UI UI and fight Sukuna. It’s really like everyone is saying Gege is out of characters to kill at this point, so he is bringing characters straight from Africa to kill.
This raises many questions:
- Could the Miguel of JJK 0 have been holding back or grown massively stronger?
- Are translation nuances misleading us?
- Is there more to Miguel than meets the eye?
While Miguel probably can’t single-handedly defeat Sukuna, his sudden appearance and apparent strength give fans another reason to hope in a dire situation. He could be the key to buying time for Yuta and Yuji to recover and join the fight again or unlocking a power dynamic with others that might turn the tide. Anyway, let’s get back to the real topic Nobara Return. With Miguel’s arrival, I have also started to believe Gege is going to turn the tables soon and shock us by showing Nobara’s return eventually. I was also attached with Nobara’s character.
Why Nobara’s Return Still Makes Sense
It wouldn’t be the first time a seemingly dead character came back in Jujutsu Kaisen. While heavily implied, an outright statement confirming her death. Todo’s friend who arrived alongside him said he might be able to revive Nobara but no guarantee.
Gege Akutami isn’t afraid to pull the rug out from under us. Death isn’t always final in this world. Even a serious injury can be overcome in a world where cursed techniques can do incredible things. With enough time and help, Nobara could potentially have recovered.
Her death felt oddly abrupt, lacking the emotional resonance of other character passings. A return with newfound strength would be a huge shock to readers and open interesting potential for her character arc.
First Nanami died then after a while, she died fighting Mahito too. Eventually, Yuji defeats Mahito with the help of Todo, who lost his cursed technique in that battle.
Fans currently believe that Nobara will return in the next chapter. Gojo’s comeback has been expected too but he never really came back.
Nobara return still makes sense in a way that if Megumi sees Nobara and Yuji manages to separate Sukuna’s and Megumi’s soul. Megumi will most likely be motivated enough to live, as Megumi knows Nobara died.
There was another theory that Sukuna’s last finger is hidden alongside Nobara and she will use her cursed technique resonance on it to weaken Sukuna. However, this theory was proven wrong when we found out what really happened to the last finger of Sukuna in JJK 251.
Twitter has exploded with #Nobara, as fans share theories and hopeful speculation. While a return isn’t guaranteed, the sheer intensity of the fanbase’s desire for it is undeniable. Nobara was popular for her strength, sassy attitude, and potential for amazing growth.
