Gray Zone Warfare was just released on Steam. The game is still in Early Access and there are a lot of issues players are facing and we have discussed most of them in our other articles. Many of the players were asking around how to voice chat in this game. It’s really simple.
Communication is key in a tactical shooter like Gray Zone Warfare. Here’s how to quickly get your voice chat up and running:
Enable Voicechat
- Hit the ‘Tab’ key, then look for the settings icon (usually a gear symbol) near the top right of the screen.
- Scroll down the settings list until you see “Audio”.
- Make sure both the “Squad VoIP” and “Proximity VoIP” options are switched on.
Now that you have enabled it, you can voice chat with people. To Talk, Hold Z. That’s your default voice chat key.
What’s the Difference Between Voice Chat Types?
- Squad VoIP: This lets you talk directly to the players in your squad. Great for close coordination and callouts.
- Proximity VoIP: Players who are physically near you in the game world will be able to hear you. Adds another layer of realism and strategy!
In case you are unable to voice chat with others
Make sure your headset or microphone is selected as the correct input device in the Audio settings. Some squads might prefer text chat. If you can hear others but they can’t hear you, check if individual players are muted in the player list.
And that is all you need to know on how to enable voice chat.
