In Dragon’s Dogma 2, romance isn’t always hearts and flowers. Wilhelmina, the beautiful and mysterious owner of the Rose Chateau Bordelrie, carries a hidden burden. Behind her confident facade, she’s plotting revenge against a man who ruined her life. If you’re brave enough to explore her secrets and help her, a unique, and somewhat dark, romance awaits.

Wilhelmina’s Tale
You’ll first meet Wilhelmina during a couple of early main quests. These encounters offer more than just plot points – pay attention! How you treat her and how you react to her situation starts laying the groundwork for a potential romance. Remember, she’s sharp, and she’ll notice if you’re genuinely empathetic or just trying to win her over.
The “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” Quest: Your Chance to Prove Yourself
To truly get on Wilhelmina’s good side, you need to complete the main quests “The Stolen Throne” and “An Unsettling Encounter”. Afterward, she’ll mention wanting to see you again soon. This is your cue, but you have to handle it carefully:
- Rest for a day, then visit her at night. This triggers a cutscene where Wilhelmina rejects the advances of a corrupt noble, Allard. Be patient, and she’ll invite you into her room.
- Listen to Wilhelmina’s story of how Allard wronged her. When she asks for your help finding evidence against him, don’t hesitate, offer your assistance. This shows you’re committed, not just flirting.
Investigation Time
The next part is equal parts detective work and showing Wilhelmina you’re trustworthy. Get intel from Sven, the prince, about Allard’s weaknesses. He’ll tell you to find Patrick for help. Find Patrick at his house in the Noble Quarter after dark. He’ll distract Allard while you slip into his mansion and snoop around. Allard has an almost obsessive eye for detail, especially with his paintings. Look for one featuring a specific flower – a subtle clue that hides a damning report behind it.
Delivering the Goods (and Supporting Wilhelmina)
Give all the evidence you find to Brant, and then return to Wilhelmina. Follow her when she confronts Allard – a brawl breaks out, and you get the satisfaction of tackling that sleazebag! The aftermath can be tense, so remember to be supportive and understanding of Wilhelmina.

Reward and Romance
After giving things a day to settle down, return to Wilhelmina at night. This finally triggers the romance scene. It’s more bittersweet than some of the other romances in Dragon’s Dogma 2 – you’ve helped Wilhelmina heal, but not entirely escape her pain.
Wilhelmina’s questline has a point of no return. If you keep doing Brant’s quests, you might get locked out of this romance! While gathering evidence is fun, what truly matters is how you treat her. Showing genuine concern builds your relationship more than anything else.
Is Wilhelmina’s Romance Worth It?
That depends on you! Unlike simpler romances in Dragon’s Dogma 2, this one is complex and a little twisted. You’re helping someone get revenge, not just going on dates. If that kind of intensity and morally grey storyline appeals to you, then Wilhelmina’s romance is a unique and satisfying experience.
