Phase 4 Update was recently released. Once Human is a multiplayer open-world survival crafting game based in a post-apocalyptic world.
However, there is confusion among players regarding the World System within the game.
Even if you are on the same server, you won’t see your friends as they are in a different world.
First, you need to be on the server and then in the same world too. For example, if your friend is in World 6 and you are in World 1, you need to teleport to the World 6 to play with him.
How To Change Worlds
Before you start playing the game, you and your friends need to make the characters in the same server otherwise there is no way of playing together at all. Worlds are actually linked to the servers.
After doing this, you first need to complete the tutorial to unlock the open world and social features. This will hardly take you 10 minutes.
Once you’re in the open world, look at the top right corner of your screen to see what world you’re in.
Sometimes, if you are lucky enough you will already be in your friend’s world.
However, if you are not just ask him in which world he is, then find a teleporter. Teleporters look like radio towers and are pretty easy to find.
Search on the map to find the teleporters. After you find the teleporter on map, just go there and then walk up to the Teleporter and press ‘G’.
You’ll then be able to choose from a list of worlds. Select the one your friends are in.
Once you are in the same world, press the ‘Escape’ key to open the menu. Go to the “Social” tab, and you can either create a group called a “Hive” (for up to four players) or a “Warband” (for larger groups).
Being on the same team allows you to see each other on the map and use each other’s territory structures, with permission from the owner.
You can also build your bases close to each other and specialize your roles within the team.
For example, one person can focus on farming while another focuses on building.
Final Words
And that is all you need to do to play with your friends. Just change the world and create a party using the Hive or Warband feature. While you are at it, check my other guides as well:
