Mourning Lily is essential for crafting potions that’ll give you some much-needed resistance against sunburns and holy burns.
Where Do You Find This Flower?
Don’t bother looking for it in sunny fields or bright meadows. Mourning Lilies are a gothic vampire’s kind of flower. You’ll mainly find them in two spots:
Cemeteries and Graveyards
Think creepy old cemeteries with crumbling tombstones and overgrown plants. These are prime Mourning Lily real estate. I’ve personally had good luck at the Infested Cemetery on the eastern side of the map.
Mantraps
These are usually found near the starting areas, and they occasionally drop Mourning Lilies when you defeat them. But watch out, they’re level 26, so come prepared!
You Can Grow Them
If you are not into going to cemeteries and graveyards, you can grow Mourning Lily too. All you need to do is get the seeds. You can either buy them from a Herb Dealer (they cost 36 copper) or defeat level 36 Treants.
Back at your castle, set up an Exterior Growing Plot, plant the seeds, and wait. Eventually, they’ll grow into blue flowers that you can harvest.
What’s This Flower Good For?
Gives you a nice boost to Grave Dust, which you need for summoning those ghoulish helpers. It also provides Minor Sun Resistance but you need to craft it.
- Minor Sun Resistance Brew: Requires 20x Mourning Lily, 20x Blood Rose, and 1x Empty Waterskin (crafted by hand).
- Holy Resistance Potion: Requires 60x Mourning Lily, 2x Scourgestones, and 1x Water-Filled Bottle.
- Gravedigger Ring: Requires 40x Mourning Lily and 8x Grave Dust.
Final Words
In my early hours of V Rising, I spent a lot of time scouring graveyards for these flowers. Having a steady supply of Mourning Lily made a huge difference in my survival rate. Once I leveled up a bit and got a solid farm going, life got so much easier! More guides below:
