Manor Lords thrives on thoughtful management, and that includes handling your livestock. Stables are required for keeping your oxen, horses, and even those fluffy sheep content and productive. But sometimes, you might be hit with that annoying “Not Enough Stable Space” message, which can throw your whole settlement plan into chaos! I will tell you what this bug means and how you can fix this issue.

Stables, Hitching Posts, and Livestock Housing

  • Hitching Posts: Simple starters for one animal each. You can build these yourself for just a single log.
  • Small Stables: Upgraded from hitching posts (takes two planks) or built-in to your livestock trading post, these house two animals.
  • Sheep & Lambs: These need pasture space, not stables. Check the livestock trading post for pasture options!

Keep an eye on those little animal icons in your UI! They show how much space you currently have available.

The “Not Enough Stable Space” Glitch

Unfortunately, this warning can be an annoying glitch. If you’re certain you have suitable housing and the message persists, this is likely what you’re encountering. Don’t panic, your animals shouldn’t run away just because of a glitchy message.

Did you buy a whole bunch of oxen recently? Make sure you’ve upgraded those hitching posts or built new stables to handle the crowd

Sheep Shenanigans

Those lambs add up! If you’re seeing the warning and breed sheep, double-check that you’ve expanded your pastures as needed. Remember, sheep care about pasture size, not stables.

Reload Save or Restart

If the message is a glitch, loading up an earlier save is often the quickest fix. If a reload doesn’t work, sometimes a complete restart of Manor Lords can help against these bugs.

Bonus Tip: Families assigned to stables become permanent Ox Guides, making your transport and deliveries significantly faster. That one extra spot can make a world of difference!
