Find Us on Socials

Chapter 12 feels a lot like catching your breath (sort of) after the intense events in Nibelheim. We’re on this huge quest for a Keystone to access a temple… but first, friend drama! The Gold Saucer, which SHOULD be fun, ends up being a stressful mess.

Finding Dio is Easier Said Than Done

Okay, the goal is to find Dio, who supposedly has that Keystone we desperately need. You’d think the guy running the whole Gold Saucer would be easy to locate. WRONG! Turns out, he’s vanished, and now we’re playing detective with our team instead.

  1. Vincent: You find him chilling by the hotel clock. He’s his usual cryptic self, but confirms no Dio in sight.
  2. Yuffie: Of course, she’s gotta be found playing minigames in Wonderment Square! Talks a lot, but no useful info on Dio.
  3. Tifa: Find her in Skywheel Square. Always the reliable one, but alas, she hasn’t seen Dio either.
  4. Barret: Find him, looking a bit lost, in Event Square. He might offer some insight on other stuff going on, but still no Dio.
  5. Aerith: Finally! Interacting with her in Battle Square is the breakthrough. She may know where Dio’s hiding out.

Who Shows Up at Your Door?

Remember that bit about Cloud having a surprise visitor depending on your relationship scores? Who appears influences some of the conversation here, adding a fun, personal touch. I had Barret, and it was actually kinda sweet seeing his softer side.

Final Words

Chapter 12 might have you running in circles a bit, but think of it as the calm before the storm. Finding Dio is just the first step. Now that we have an idea of where he is, there’s bound to be a confrontation coming soon, and who knows what kind of crazy arena battle he might have in store for us!
