How To Find and Use Portcrystal in Dragon’s Dogma 2 – All Portcrystal Locations

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a massive world to explore, which is awesome… until you realize just how much walking you’ll be doing. Luckily, the game does feature fast travel (sort of) with Portcrystals – but there are some weird limitations to be aware of. Let’s figure out where you can find them and how you can use them to fast travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How Does Portcrystal Work?

Think of Portcrystals as big, glowy stones scattered around the map. You can’t use a Portcrystal until you locate it and touch it to activate it. Some are right out in the open, others…not so much.

Once a Portcrystal is active, you need a Ferrystone to teleport there. These are frustratingly rare – hidden in chests, given out stingily as quest rewards, or sold by merchants for a ridiculous amount of gold. For your help, I am also attaching a video from Wowquest so you can better understand how you can use Portcrystal.

How To Get Portcrystal

Some quests will give you a portable Portcrystal. For example, you will get Portcrystal as a reward after completing A Trial of Archery. You still need a Ferrystone to use even your own Portcrystal.

You will also find Portcrystal in Harve Village and also in Vernworth. Keep exploring and eventually, you will find some portcrystals. Sadly, you can only have a maximum of 10 portable Portcrystals active at a time.

You can only teleport to Portcrystals you’ve already found and activated. Finding Ferrystones is a pain, so when you have them, hold onto them for when you really need them! No teleporting from indoors – you gotta get outside first.

All Portcrystal Locations So Far

• Vernworth: Right outside the Grand Riftstone building, you can’t miss it.
• Harve Village: Found in the southwestern part of the village.
• Sacred Arbor: On the northern side.
• Seafloor Shrine: Look to the east of the shrine.
• Agamen Volcanic Island: Follow the path southeast from Bakbattahl.

Final Words

While Portcrystals aren’t perfect, they will save you some serious walking time. Think of them as a tool to use cleverly, not a complete fix for long journeys.
