Exploring the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a blast, but sometimes you stumble across little mysteries that get under your skin. Like that stubbornly locked house in Cropper’s Quarter – you just know there’s gotta be some loot inside, right? Well, good news: there IS a way in, but it’s a bit sneaky.

While you are at it check my other Dragon’s Dogma 2 guides as well:

Find the Hidden Tunnel

Forget trying to kick that door down.  Remember that bridge just north of the locked house? Head back there. Hop down from the bridge into the river, making sure you’re on the same side of the riverbank as the house. Look around, and you should see a tunnel entrance hidden in the riverbank. Uh oh, this might get creepy…

Your way inside the tunnel

You’re gonna find some nasty Leapworms (basically giant leeches, ew) and a few bandits hanging out down there. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

But hey, no risk, no reward, right? Fight your way to the far end of the tunnel, and you’ll find a ladder. This is your way up into the house!

Once you climb the ladder, bam! You’re finally inside the house. Now, there’s one more obstacle – that wooden bar blocking the door. Give it a good whack with your weapon (or blast it with a spell if you’re feeling fancy) and the door will be open for good!

What is Inside Locked Door In Cropper’s Quarter

Honestly, the loot inside the house isn’t amazing. Just a single chest, and who knows what’s even in it? I haven’t opened it since I was disappointed because of no loot. But hey, sometimes the thrill of unlocking a secret is more valuable than the treasure itself.

Let me know if you want a guide on tackling those Leapworms in the tunnel – they can be surprisingly tough at lower levels!
