The in-game instructions on the backflip are unclear/vague. However, there are challenges in Wuthering Waves that require you to do a backflip. After trying for a while I finally got the hang of it and I can perform backflip anytime I want. Let me show you how to do it.
How to Backflip
Hold down your forward movement key or thumbstick to get your character sprinting. Hit the jump button.
This is a spacebar on a PC and the A button on an Xbox controller. As soon as you’re in mid-air, leave all buttons – including the movement stick.
While you’re still in mid-air, quickly press the dodge button (right click/shift on PC, right thumbstick on a controller).
If done correctly, your character should do a backflip. The timing between letting go of the movement stick and pressing the dodge button needs to be precise. If you’re too early or too late, you’ll end up with a different move entirely.
Final Words
Not only are backflips useful in combat, but they’re also important in the challenges that need you to do backflip within a given time. There is a challenge in which you have to stay on the boxes and perform the backflips will discuss that in another article. Do check out my other guides as well:
