Fans have been speculating how Black Noir can return to the show after Homelander killed him in Season 3. In the trailer, we saw him on the Seven Conference Table like nothing ever happened. After the premiere was released yesterday, we finally got our answer on how he came back. Actually, he didn’t, someone else is pretending to be Black Noir.
Original Black Noir is Dead
The original Black Noir is indeed dead. He met his end at the hands of Homelander in the season 3 finale. However, the Black Noir we see in season 4 is someone entirely different.
Vought actually came up with an actor to take the place of Black Noir to avoid any suspicion. The funny thing is, the same actor is playing the Black Noir 2.0.
This new Noir is also a Supe, but he struggles with the role because the original Noir was silent and he had that Batman vibes focusing only on mission.
By replacing the original Noir with an imposter, they maintain the illusion that everything is normal and avoid any negative publicity.
The new Noir is clearly uncomfortable with the role and might even break character completely. However, now that he knows Homelander kills people for fun and he has murdered a lot of people, he won’t be going against him in any way.
Final Words
We will be seeing the new Noir even more since he is a regular on the show now and in the trailer, we even saw Butcher vs Black Noir 2.0. So expect that too in the upcoming episodes.
