How To Complete Rat’s Nest in Gray Zone Warfare (GZW)

Gray Zone Warfare has taken the extraction shooter genre by storm. I’ve been playing this game since the release. At start of the game, you will have to choose the faction. I chose the Crimson Shield. In a mission called Rat’s Nest, given by Handshake, I was tasked with gathering intel.

Remember, this mission is just a recon, not a full-blown fighting mission. There will be enemies that you will have to defeat but that is not mandatory. You can be sneaky too.

How To Complete Rat’s Nest Mission

The quest is divided into two parts. The first hideout is near the water tower. I am sure you know about the water tower by now. The second one is a bit far and you have to locate a notebook in the second part

First Part Rat’s Nest

The first part of the Rat’s Nest mission involves finding a hidden phone. You’ll find a house with a red banner outside the house as shown in the picture below – but be careful, this area is crawling with Enemies. The coordinates for this location/house are 172, 119.

There are two ways to approach this house. If you want to fight the enemies, sure you can use a direct approach and shoot all the enemies. But if you prefer a stealthier approach, there’s a back entrance by jumping over the fence. Once inside the house, make your way upstairs and locate the Thug’s smartphone on the desk. Grab it and part 1 of the quest is completed.

Second Part

The second part of the mission takes you to the main road, coordinates 169 120. Look for a corner building near a gas station. Once you’ve reached the corner building, head inside and search for a Convix notepad on a table.

Once you have recovered the Thug’s smartphone and the Convix notepad, go back to Handshake and report your findings.

Rewards

This includes a payout of USD 3,600, a cool 50,000 XP points, and a reputation increase of 100 points.
