You finally get through the long queue in this exciting new game, the map starts loading…and then boom. “Network Error Occurred” and you’re kicked back to the main menu. Let’s discuss why this frustrating error is happening and what, if anything, you can do about it.
Early Access Server Issues
Gray Zone Warfare just launched, which means the servers are getting overwhelmed by excited players. Unfortunately, this often leads to instability and errors like the one you’re seeing. The main cause is likely the servers being overloaded, not anything on your end.
Is There a Fix?
Sadly, there’s no magic bullet for this one right now. Here’s what you can try, but remember, patience might be the most important tool in your arsenal:
- Keep trying to connect. You might just get lucky and hit the server at a quieter moment.
- Restarting your game, and even rebooting your router and PC, sometimes works wonders.
- If your internet itself is unstable, it might be causing issues connecting. Make sure it’s working reliably.
- The developers are definitely working hard to fix bugs and improve server capacity. Keep an eye on official channels for updates.
This error is frustrating, but remember, tons of other players are probably going through the same thing today.

Final Words
Early access launches are always a bit of a rollercoaster. The good news is, these kinds of server issues tend to work themselves out as the developers improve things on their end. Hang in there, and hopefully, you’ll be dropping into the action smoothly very soon!
