Lots of players are facing issues trying to get into Gray Zone Warfare, including an annoying “Anti-Cheat Failed to Start” error and super-long queue times. For the first time, I launched the anti-cheat error didn’t occur. However, I’m still unable to play due to the long queue time.
For the anti-cheat error, you can also try this:
- Reboot your PC (sometimes that’s all it takes!)
- Verify game files through Steam (this checks for any missing or broken files).
Community Solutions
EasyAntiCheat Setup
- Go to your Gray Zone Warfare install folder (usually Steam/steamapps/common/Gray Zone Warfare).
- Find the “EasyAntiCheat” folder and run “EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe”.
- Launch the game – problem solved for some!
Firewall Exceptions
Add these files to your Windows Firewall exceptions:
- EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup
- GZWClientEAC
However, I am quite sure this won’t help since this error is occurring due to backend issues. Currently, there is no solution to this issue. All you can do is wait for a while.
Long Queues
Launch day for an exciting new game means lots of people trying to play at once! While the developers likely work to improve server capacity, here are a few things to consider:
- Peak Times: Trying to play during less busy hours might score you a shorter wait.
- Patience is Key: Unfortunately, waiting it out might be the only option for now.
They’ll likely be working hard on fixes and updates to smooth things out. Keep an eye on their official channels for news and hotfixes.
