Xbox players aren’t off to a great start. Many players are encountering Dev Error 10493 upon launching Black Ops 6 on their Xbox consoles.
There are two phases to the Black Ops 6 beta: early access and open beta. Early access starts on August 30th and ends on September 4th while open beta starts on September 6th and ends on September 9th.
Those who pre-ordered the game or have an Xbox Game Pass subscription can play the early access beta.
If you haven’t figured out a solution, this guide will help you fix the Black Ops 6 Dev Error 10493 on Xbox.
How To Fix Black Ops 6 Dev Error 10493
The only solution that works so far is clearing the game’s saved data. Go to your Xbox home screen. Find and go to My Games & apps.
Find the Black Ops 6 game and hover over it. Press the Menu button on your controller. Choose manage game and add-ons. Scroll down to the bottom and find “Saved data”.
Now from there, select “Reserved space“. Look for the option to clear reserved space and do it. Now start Black Ops 6 again on your Xbox and see if the error is gone.
Clearing reserved space might make the game re-download some things the next time you start it. Also, this is not a guaranteed solution but seemed to have worked for many.
Final Words
If clearing the reserved space doesn’t work, You could try uninstalling the entire Black Ops 6 beta and then reinstalling it. I hope the above solution works for you so you can start playing Black Ops 6!
Black Ops 6 will officially release on October 25, 2024.
